America’s River is a riverfront redevelopment project based in Dubuque, Iowa. Dubuque is located on the Mississippi River west of the Illinois-Wisconsin border and has a population of 62,000. |

America’s River is a national campus featuring four major components: The National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium, a resort and indoor waterpark, Grand River Center (Conference and Events Center), Mississippi Riverwalk, Waterpark and Amphitheater and River’s Edge Plaza. |

America’s River is the only place on the entire 2,400-mile stretch of the Mississippi River that offers a multi- faceted campus celebrating the historical, environmental, educational and recreational majesty of the river. |

The National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium features five aquariums including a bayou swamp aquarium complete with snapping turtles and alligators, interactive exhibits including a pilothouse simulation, a wetland nature trail, touch pools, live animals, a boat theater and breakfast on a 1934s steam boat, William M. Black, living history presentations and more. The museum/aquarium opened in June 2003. |

Dubuque Greyhound Park and Casino is the newest entity to the America’s River Project at the Port of Dubuque. It offers Greyhound racing and casino gaming plus superb dining and banquet facilities. The casino was newly renovated in 2005 and features more than 1,000 slot machines with nearly 50% more floor space and state-of-the-art facilities and equipment. |

The Grand River Center (Conference and Events Center) is an 86,000 square-foot conference and meeting facility overlooking the Mississippi River. The facility opened in the Fall of 2003 and features a grand ball room, multiple meeting and breakout rooms, a 30,000 square-foot flexible exhibition hall, large patios and generous pre-function space. An enclosed walkway connects the Center to a resort hotel with 194 guest rooms and indoor waterpark. |

The Mississippi Riverwalk area opened in Summer 2003. It features the Alliant Energy Amphitheater, for special events, music and live entertainment; the Riverwalk which part of a 44-mile Heritage Trail connecting America’s River to the nationally renowned Field of Dreams in Dyersville, Iowa; and the River’s Edge Plaza, a 5,000 square-foot plaza and pavilion that also serves as the landing berth for the Delta Queen Company Riverboats and other large excursion vessels. |

The initial $188 million development was the result of a partnership between the City of Dubuque, the Dubuque area Chamber of Commerce, the Dubuque County Historical Society, Dubuque County, the State of Iowa Vision Iowa Fund and Platinum Hospitality Group. |

The Port of Dubuque is located at the tri-states of Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin. The Port is 15 minutes west of Galena, Illinois and lies on the western banks of the Mississippi River, where Julien Dubuque Bridge links travelers between Iowa and Illinois. |
