This signature event marked its first year in 2004 in the Port of Dubuque and is hosted the second weekend of June each year. The America’s River Festival was created to celebrate the river and the port area. Locals and non-locals alike attend the event as an opportunity to enjoy live musical performances, bring their dogs to participate in the Dock Dogs competition and enjoy a mixture of entertainment for all ages.  Each year regional and national acts grace the stage for live performances. Past acts include Little Big Town, Randy Travis, Kelly Pickler, Kansas, Lady Antebellum, and the list goes on. This signature event is quickly becoming a staple in the region and looks to continue prospering throughout the years.
